Arguing point against Death Penalty...more money is to be made from live prisoner than buried corpse
We all know the one argument that Republicans cannot speak against is profit; especially profit for privatized government functions (aka cronies). Hence, simply pointing out that the prison system (mostly privatized) will require more money over the years to keep a live prisoner than the one shot payment to bury a corpse is absolutely the way to win their support. Meals, transportation, bigger prisons, you name it live prisoners are profit centers.

2. Because of the expensive litigation costs it is much much more expensive
and a waste of money to execute a prisoner than to give them life in prison.

5. That's what I've heard, too
The endless appeals, challenges and re-investigations tend to tie up courts for decades.

Funny thing, this drive for self-preservation.....

3. Housing a prisoner for life is actually less expensive than the endless litigation of DP cases.
I mean, it's a cute argument, but it's the opposite of reality.

4. how about there isn't any sort of scientific proof death is a Penalty..an Opinion doesn't count. it
is however a Blood Sacrifice for votes when a politician promises to kill prisoners in custody if elected.
