Why I'm trying not to post in threads about Gaza right now.
I feel strongly and have my own opinions, just as most here are in the same situation.

There are lots of good DUer's here on both sides of the fence and some of them have more invested in the situation than I do. Many of these people may or may not be "rooting for a tussle" right now and I don't want to be the cause of them giving a loud opinion 'hypersensitized' by the current situation and maybe saying something over the top that they normally wouldn't say.

We seem to be a "big tent" discussion forum here and I really feel that the mods and admins are trying to keep it that way so they try to make sure neither side of this situation feels alienated. I had a thread locked the other day that was insulting to religion in general. In retrospect, it should have been locked because it insulted a large percentage of DUers. I feel that the Mods are doing their best with the same idea at heart.

I haven't seen any real prejudice by DU except they seem to like civility over knock-down, drag-out fights. This is a very difficult time for many in the ME today and I can only hope that the violence ends as quickly as possible.

2. With little hard information coming out
due to border blockades, the propaganda war is being waged by both sides.

There's little sense to be gleaned from any discussion right now.
