1. I'd make any visitors to the WH be scanned for wires etc.
Let those fat-assed Republicans be subjected to the same sort of scutiny the average citizen now has to go through when they go into federal buildings.

2. IIRC, it's SOP
The Secret Service sweeps the White House for security issues on an almost constant basis. That would include bugs, wiretaps, and nearly anything else that might compromise his security.

3. I say yes, but the NSA probably has active sweeping going on 24/7
Putting out the message that President Obama swept the White House for listening devices before moving in would be a good knock to the rear end of little George as he is leaving.

8. No. I'd actually have a trusted aide quietly hire a private company ..
and conduct a full electronic sweep without notice. Of course, arrangements would have to be made in a manner that could not be detected by the NSA, etc.,

13. You can find one that doesn't have those ties

After Watergate, I assume the Democratic Party uses professionals to find and destroy any bugs.

that being said- i'm gotta think that the white house is pretty damn secure...but if the cia DID want to "bug" the potus- they probably could.
