I found I was quoted as RiverStone from Democratic Underground in an editorial published in the Baltimore Sun Newspaper. It was nothing that profound, but part of my OP was used to illustrate a progressive viewpoint.

I live 3,000 miles from Baltimore, but it was cool to know that folks out there read our wonderful rants and opinions and pay attention (other then DUers).

3. A couple of conservative hacks

Both of them quoting me on the occasion of the death of Paul Weyrich as somehow being mean to him. I said that he was someone who passed as a "patriot" in some circles, but that I didn't see him that way. Rather, I was of the opinion that Weyrich spent his life and career trying to subvert American principles. This apparently upset two pointy-headed assclowns in the conservative blogosphere.

Too bad, says I.

and a carpet cleaner in Florida used a poem I wrote..

It's painful to google myself these days because someone appropriated MY name at some PUMA site, and googling my screenname now looks like some schizophrenic adventure.. with one of me saying this..and a few lines later a different me, saying just the opposite..

I wish I had had the smarts to join that other site, & get banned, so no one there could use my exact name :(

6. My Amazon book review of Scooter Libby's opus was quoted in the Columbia Political Review. :)

Tanyev of Allen, Texas may have said it best in his online blurb: “If Scooter is very fortunate, when President Bush pardons him for the crimes for which he has been indicted, he will also pardon him for his crimes against literature."

However, it should have been her online blurb, and the writer should have included the next sentence, too: "If we are very fortunate, Scooter will then be hired by a lobbying firm and he will be too busy to write any more novels."

Oh well, it was still a thrill to find that out there.
