Next time you are confronted with a creationist, tie them to a chair,
and make them watch this. Over and over again. Until it sinks in...

That should take care of things.

14. Anyone who's going to do that must first practice...
The Look.

Big creepy smile. Eyes...either totally vacant, or burning with the fires of Faith.

Lots of "Praise be to God" yelled out during the tying up process, and some flecks of foam on the lips is always a nice touch...

Then you tell the person that Jesus can untie them if they believe hard enough

Don't ask how I know all this...

10. So...
you think envirobat actually meant to literally "tie them to a chair and make them watch" a video?

Maybe envirobat is as disgusted by the rampant stupidity of creationists as I am and was being sarcastic... Maybe envirobat doesn't think that using a sarcasm tag is necessary...

21. I have a serious question, are you human, or a Turing compliant computer?
No human being can be this clueless, seriously, I'm trying to figure out if you are a type of really advanced bot though, they are technically possible even with today's technology.

2. Tying Creationists up to begin with of course has enormous appeal,
the legal ramifications notwithstanding.

13. I know
some creationists. It is a scary thing to totally toss science right out the window... Yet that is what they do. One of these boneheads lives down the street from us - he is a preacher in a small congregation and makes 3 times the amount of money as we do... He is totally supported by a congregation of 800 to 1,000 people. He drives 3, yes 3, brand new cars - they get new cars every 2 years. His house? Paid cash for it at just under a million. His little boy is my sons age and they play together. That kid does not wear a helmet when riding his bike, ripstick, scooters etc. Why? Because (I shit you not) Jesus will not let him hurt his head. I said "How do you know Jesus didn't create the helmet so his head would be protected?" .... no answer... none.
Even when dealing with these people on there own terms they can't answer the simple questions with any acuity.

I can't tolerate any of that crap.

15. OK now I see why they'd have to be tied to a chair...
Too many big words for them to understand. They'd all run away screaming, holding their heads, which are melting from the overload of words with more than one syllable....

That's one problem.

The other problem...it makes too much sense. If their brains were operating at a logical level on this matter, they wouldn't be believing in Creationism in the first place. Some people just do NOT want to deal with logic over Faith.

But it would still be fun to tie them to a chair.

I'm going to watch it again later to see if I can digest a little more of it (science is not my thing).

18. All a creationist is gonna hear is "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..."
That's why they are creationists.

If you've already got them tied to a chair it's a lot more fun to convince them that koro is real.

Koro is a disease in which one's prominent sexual body parts withdraw into the body and are subsequently lost. In the case of men, the penis and testes shrink. For women, the vulva and breasts. In both cases the loss of masculinity or femininity is followed by premature death. The disease is usually caused by impure thoughts and activities of a sexual nature.

20. You can't use logic and facts to convince someone who refuses to think.
Creationists, new agers, conspiracy fans, etc.

It's a waste of time. They don't want to think.

They won't be able to absorb it anyway.
