Joe the plumber headed to Middle East
Source: CNN

‘Joe the Plumber’ is headed overseas to try his hand at covering the conflict in Gaza, Wurzelbacher’s publicist Thomas Tabback confirmed to CNN Wednesday. Wurzelbacher plans to spend 10 days in Israel reporting on the conflict for pjtv.com, a Web site run by conservative media outlet Pajamas Media.

The famous plumber will be focusing on the Israeli perspective on the situation. "It's tragic, I mean it really is,” Wurzelbacher told CNN affiliate WNWO “I don't say that in any little way. It's very tragic, but at the same time what are the Israeli people supposed to do.”

Wurzelbacher told WNWO he’s not worried about the potential dangers of his new gig. "Being a Christian I'm pretty well protected by God I believe. That's not saying he's going to stop a mortar for me, but you gotta take the chance,” he told the CNN affiliate.

“Israeli officials are very excited to have him,” Tabback told CNN.

1.  “Israeli officials are very excited to have him,”
Well, if they like him, they can keep him.

4. Potential Dangers?
Will he slip and fall over the TV remote in the hotel room? The perils of finding an open McDonals in Tel Aviv? Spare me.

Hasn't this dude's 15 minutes long past expired?

6. Too bad that Joe doesn't believe that Palestinian Christians
in Gaza have the same god "protecting" them as he does. To be literally correct, of course, the god prayed to by Jews, Christians and Muslims is the same one. They just come at the god-figure from different frames of reference. The crazies in each group throw the baby out with the bath-water and miss the whole point.

*******
The media fascination with this total zilch, while deserving people have to work at two or three jobs to feed, clothe and educate their families, literally makes me ill.

8. He seems a little... insensitive
Being a Christian I'm pretty well protected by God I believe

Here's a hint, Joe: when you're going to report on Jews in danger, you should probably play down the whole "God looks after Christians" thing.

11. Ironically, he probably will make that $250,000 now

Now that he has all the suckers throwing money at him.

I mean WTF can he add, that professional journalist haven't already? And a book deal?

The whole thing makes me sick.

He's basically getting rich and his only claim to fame is stalking Obama and asking stupid questions.
