My car's officially dead, but other than that we're all fine. The kitties are fine and Edie's stitches are all healed. The client critters are doing well too, I just LOVE them! My sister's doing well, but she has a cold. I went to visit her today after I walked the pooches; she only lives a block away from the light rail station, so I visit her on my way home.

I'm glad you're unpacking is almost done, I know what a pain in the ass it can be! Have the kitties completely adjusted to their new surroundings?

I know what a pain in the ass cars are. I hate cars! Do you know what you are going to do? It's really nice you have other means of getting around. Advantages of living near cities.

The kitties are a little depressed, esp. Simon and Scarlett. Pumpkin is unusually freaked and stays in the bedroom. I think it's because I put her in the carrier again to take her to a new vet for nail clipping. She's still lovable, just not exploring as much. I'm sure they will all get more comfy as time goes on. Of course, your pal Sesame hardly missed a beat and we play more when I get home at night. She is all over her mice and she chases them down the hall. That's mice, not to be confused with the rat bastids of previous times. :rofl:

I almost freaked one night we heard a critter scurrying on the roof in the middle of the night. I said OMG I don't believe this. Never heard again, so I think it was just a local welcoming me to the 'hood and laughing because they about gave me a heart attack.

When the fence is fixed and I get the cat netting up, they can go out in the yard again. I talked to the landlords last night and he is getting estimates. Slowly, but apparently surely. We're going to have a couple of weeks of nice weather so I'm hoping he gets it done.

Raisin just loves the new place! She is all over the place and even wants to play. She's too funny. The drama has lessened too with Simon, she seems to be saying, take a hike there's lots of room for all of us.

I got a used 2003 Honda Civic 2 years ago and it's the best move I've made in a long time. I found exactly what I wanted. They are great cars. And it only had 41,000 miles on it. They are excellent cars. I hope you find something really good.

I kind of like Fremont, but still feeling a bit out of place. Have some neighbor issues I'm working thru. But we're settled and have all of our stuff and the landlord is getting estimates on the fence so the kids can go out in the yard soon. They are a little depressed, especially Simon, who paces from 12 midnight to 5 a.m. Sesame and Raisin just love the place and Raisin even chases toys down the hallway, her mud flap swaying from side to side. :rofl:

Rescuers to take 180 cats from Moriches home
A rescue agency plans to begin the process of removing 180 cats from a Moriches home Wednesday afternoon.

The animals later will be taken to a veterinarian for medical attention and spaying or neutering before they are transferred to "no kill" shelters on Long Island and in New York City, said Robert Misseri, a volunteer with Island Park-based Rescue Ink.

The first 50 felines will be inoculated Wednesday and taken from the home later in the week, Misseri said. It will likely take several weeks to remove all of the cats, he said.

Rescue Ink found out about the "cat horde" with a tip from another rescue agency, Misseri said. The resident of the home, who was not named, is giving the animals up willingly because "she cannot afford to feed them," Misseri said.
