I don't think so. Why don't the Democrats develop some spine. For a while I didn't think the Repubs knew they had lost, now I don't think the Dems realize they have one. Let the Repugs show their true colors and throw a tantrum.

2. Give them a break.
It hasn't even started yet. Republicans are wiped out and you have to give Democrats some credit for that. Seating Franken isn't going to make all that much difference right now.

The heavy lifting will be the true test, and that will come soon enough. I know, they are stinking politicians. But maybe, maybe . . .

15. I have not posted on my other board, which is primarily rightists, in about 2 weeks now.
I can't stand it over there where it's one wacked out conspiracy or non-issue after another.

Oh woe is me, oh woe is me.

<rolling eyeballs>

Sorry, I'm not into the whiny victimhood deal. If I were I would spend more time over there. They are much better at it than you people are and their whining is more understandable since they're looking at their whole ideology being discredited and crushed.

I am as pleased as I can be right now. It could have gone just a little better, but it's better than I expected it to be. Everything is pointing in our direction, starting with a highly intelligent and talented leader.

Sure, he could let us down big time, or we could all be wiped out by a giant asteroid tomorrow. STFW?

13. He would've been seated the night after the election, when
everything was still up in the air. Then they would've said it was over, and we need to move on.

3. Nope, but they wouldn't have had to. The Dems would have rolled over for Coleman.

the dems are inept. I'm a lifelong democrat but this is getting embarrassing. They need to get their act together.

9. They're useful idiots who believe that we don't know that they presently aren't worth a damn.
with a few notable exceptions, our "illustrious" democratic national representatives are corporate, warmongering STOOGES.

11. Democrats Won Because Of Spine...
Big kudos to Franken's people...especially his lawyers...who have made sure every Minnesotans vote was counted and recounted despite Normie calling for him to conceede on Election night. The process was transparent and the courts have and will uphold the results, thus Franken won and will be seated. Coleman can go pound sand (before he goes off to jail).

Imagine the uproar had Franken's people not contested. They showed how to properly challenge and win a recount. Would the Democrats fight hard if the roles were reversed? Who cares...that would have meant Franken would have lost and the courts went against him. It isn't the case...and now who cares what the repugnicans say or do.

I just can't wait until Franken gives his first speech on the Senate floor. I sure hope he sits in the back like Paul Wellstone did.

14. Well, technically, Franken didn't need to contest it.
By MN election law, a hand recount was required. But Franken's team deserves credit for pushing the absentee ballot issue.
