4. When someone responds to an original post it goes back to the top

in whatever forum it is in. Ergo if a responder just wants to send it back to the top for visibility the responder 'kicks' it. Recommending a post by hitting the 'recommend' button at the bottom could get it on the greatest page. So K&R is a way to get a post visibility because it is good.
