It was around 5:30 and I was picking up my Ritalin and Paxil at the pharmacy and including me there were probably a dozen to a dozen and a half customers there. TThe place is usually packed on Saturdays

The retailers are gonna have a VERY bad spring if this is any indication...

1. I think Target's Merchandise is even more Cheesy than Wal-Mart
... cheap plastic...all made in China (junk).

7. It sure as hell is a more pleasant environment...
My Super Target was packed Sunday--seems they'd let go all the holiday help and every check out was 8-10 thick with customers.... Super Targets will likely survive, because of the groceries (and alcohol...LOL)

2. It may depend on the time
On Friday after work our Target was crazy busy. When I commented on the crowd to the cashier, she said it's always like that at the beginning of the month when people get paid.

On the other hand, I was out shopping yesterday and the only place that was even moderately busy was IKEA. But then, Pittsburghers tend to stay home when there's football to watch, even if it's not Steelers.

3. Interestingly, they just recently opened a new Super Target
in a new "urban-chique" development near downtown Orlando.
The place is huge and trafffic has been good.

However, they have posted a big sign saying that this location does not match pricing on similar items EVEN those at other Target stores, and goes on to say that they price according to geographic area, yada, yada. I thought that was strange.
