January - Primaries in full swing
February - I choose Obama, not my first choice, but one I'm happy with, my teens are excited.
March - I begin volunteering for Obama
April - Phonebanking and DU consume hours
May - Same..
June - Big final family vacation, I see the Grand Canyon, and a lot of California for the first time
July - Money is getting really tight, still volunteering for Obama
August - I get a full time Union job!
September - still volunteering and working
October - volunteering non-stop, getting excited, DU is full force behind our candidates.
November - HUGE! Obama wins. Prop 8 and Amendment 2 suck, but Dems make big gains - things look great!
December - my husband gets sent out to another state to work, and my best friend loses her battle with cancer. DU sucks ass non-stop - who are you people anymore?

Its been an emotional year. January 20th can't come soon enough. Too many people in this country are going without, going hungry, I miss my husband and my friend. I miss DU working hard, together.

Here's to 2009 - may it bring better times to us all. I am fortunate enough to have a good job, and I am smart enough to appreciate it. I wish all of you the best in the coming year. I wish the world peace and prosperity. I wish DU a little harmony and togetherness.
