13. He's one of my absolute favorites.
Along with the west bank work, he's known for sneaking work into museums. What's the point, afterall, of waiting til you are dead? Plus security is always focused on making sure people don't steal work from their collections. They are less focused on making sure people don't add to them. :)

He's snuck work into the museum of natural history and the metropolitan museum in new york. A couple pieces didn't get noticed for a few days.

This one that he added to the British museum still makes me laugh - he made one of those museum explanation cards for it, which read: "early man venturing toward the out-of-town hunting grounds."

It's Banksy's take on the famous Texas punk slogan from the 80s:

"Fuck you, we're from Texas" was an intentionally ironic and provocative motto. I think the Loco Gringos were the first to use it on their shirts, pretty sure the Butthole Surfers may have, also. Then a famous skateboard artist started putting it on boards and other underground bands adopted it, too. It was meant as a tongue-in-cheek message against conformity and oppression, not really a genuine statement of regional pride. These groups were anti-Reagan and anti-corporatist. IIRC, the shirts were at least in part a reaction to the ridiculously arrogant attitudes people in the CA and NYC music scenes (especially industry types) had towards outsiders at the time.

It's somewhat disappointing to see it used in such a manner, but it's interesting, nonetheless.
