1. Testing Obama, you mean?
Given the hyped hoopla over Election 200n being canceled due to the RWL setting up a magical technicolor coup, I'm hesitant to think Israel is doing anything deliberately... especially with the thousand + years of war that region has already endured out of their orgasmic insanity, violence comes naturally to both sides... like breathing or making babies.

And we all know abstinence doesn't work.

10. Just like Ariel Sharon dragging his fat butt up to Temple Mount:

knowing that it would inflame the Palestinians and play into his election goals.

And now we can have BiBi be the defender of Israel by steam rolling over Gaza.

Why are we bankrolling then to be able to do this?

Why aren't we telling Israel that the UN will be taking over control of the Gaza Strip?

Why aren't we demanding the demilitarization of Gaza?

7. Per a senior admin official...
One senior Bush administration official told the Washington Post that he thinks the Israelis acted in Gaza “because they want it to be over before the next administration comes in” and because “they can’t predict how the next administration will handle it.” Indeed, Bush has become fairly predictable in how he manages these sorts of crises.

8. I think Israel is looking for an excuse for their "Final Solution"
to the Palestinian problem. Mark my words, with Rahm whispering in Obama's ear, Obama will stand by quietly while Israel goes all out to drive all Palestinians out of Gaza and the West Bank or kill them all, whichever comes first.
This is Israel's chance for their Final Solution to the Palestinian problem. Rahm and Obama will let them do it and will be cheering every step of the way.

9. Maybe Rahm, but Obama has said that "Nobody has suffered more...
...than the Palestinians" ~ I can't see him going along with such craziness.

13. I hope you're right.
But after 20 years of broken promises vis a vis the Palestinians, I don't any illusions about how this is going to turn out.

14. Yes - they are setting the world on fire
and fast losing any sympathies I personally had for the nation. I hope the people of Israel vote for PEACE in the upcoming election.

15. You can vote for peace all you want but that doesn't make it so
Its really fucking easy to ask someone else to take hits but we all know good and well that we'd never accept what many demand of others. We took a hit and went ape shit and many were crying for more assertive action.

I don't see how anyone gets the gall to rail on about how Israel mistreats the Palestinians. What the fuck do you prescribe they do? At some point one must protect themselves and their interests.
I think the people of Israel HAVE voted for peace repeatedly but have got more bombings. Eventually, you cut bait.
