Men's Health Magazine Reminds us of how stupid Freepers are
From the latest issue, letters sections

RETURN TO SENDER
Placing Barack Obama on the cover before the election was a shameless plug <"The Challenger," November>. I'm sending the issue back and might cancel my subscription, too.

Alex, Waco, TX

Thanks for returning the issue, Alex. Those copies are now being offered for $20 on eBay.-Eds.

10. I love that magazine
My husband used to get it, and I started checking it out in search of men who'd make good models for the romance heroes I write. First thing I noticed was that it treats women as intelligent indivicuals with lives of their own. No big whooping deal about "look how PC we are," but the women in the pages are strong, competent people. Many are pretty, but that's not why they're there.

They had Anderson Cooper on one cover, and one of the readers wrote to say he was cancelling his subscription because they'd featured a "metro-sexual." LOL. They're excellent on environmental issues and generally liberal. I even found a good suggestion for a Christmas gift for my officemate in a feature called "What to buy her."

11. It is a good mag
With a full staff of contributing MD's. I like it when one of them writes the article "Drugs your doctor won't take, so why should you?" and "Why are men still smoking?"

Then there are stories like the young doc fresh out of med school who spent a lot of time in war-torn Burma trying to what he can to relieve as much suffering as he can.

It is not the locker-room strutting that some may think it is.
