RWingnuts take 'ludicrous' to whole 'nother level.

I thought it was fairly difficult to be that utterly stupid but they managed to pull it off with relative ease.

Case in point; I heard a couple of 'loosers' while at lunch desperately claiming how the mess we are now in

is all Jimmy Carter's fault. Just as if RayGun and his minions had never come along, and just as if the

rethuglicans didn't have full control of all levels of government for at least the first six years of this decade.

They must be in some sort of a time warp or perhaps it might be 'selective amnesia'. Whatever the case,

they must be thinking they are on a cruise on a river in Egypt.

4. Only people with a complete lack of critical thinking abilities such as freepers
can buy the Jimmy Carter argument about an administration that was elected 32 years ago. For them to even think: Democrats total 12 years, Republicans total 20 years in the last 32 years is too much.

3. no, wait. Could it be . . . . .satan?

these morons always want a clear villain, a single place to focus their hate and ignorance.

satan, gays, librools, al kwaheeda, Bill Klintoons loose zipper, and Jimmy Carter. From what I am able to tell they probably need to add those malicious male prostitute drug dealers and undercover cops posing as same, plus gay married terra-ists. And librools.

6. It is called projection.
This scenario has been making the wingnut rounds. According to the current echo chamber drivel, Carter set up the fall in 1977 by signing the Community Reinvestment Act. The economy was on a fast track straight to hell after that, since the CRA encumbered lending institutions by making them consider people of color for home mortgage and business loans. How was the Invisible Hand supposed to work its magic when cramped by such an outrage?

The fairy tale goes on to condemn Democrats for hastening our inevitable economic demise, by making various and sundry commie liberal changes to the CRA since then, while innocent Republican victims like Saint Ronnie and Junior slept the whole time in their beds, blissfully and understandably unaware of the destructive treachery being worked upon us all by evil Democrats.

It's the kinda bullshit reaction you expect when events so clearly prove GOP economic philosophy to be a colossal clusterfuck at best, if not also a deliberate war to subvert all Americans to the richest 10%.

9. Carter? Comeon! Don't they realize that EVERYTHING is Clinton's fault?
Bill Clinton, I mean. Oh, what the heck -- Hillary's fault, too!

;-)

10. So, so true...
Bill Clinton singlehandedly caused the demise of the dinosaurs.

He also caused the fall of the Roman Empire, but that was by accident.
