The United States Of America declared war on Iraq 5 years ago
Since then over 1 million innocent civilians have been slaughtered and hundreds of millions more have fled and even more have been left limbless. They have no power, no running water, and live their lives in constant fear.

Iraq did absolutely nothing to provoke the attack. Nothing. Not a single rocket attack on American soil. Not a single act of terrorism. Not even anything political: No sanctions, no trade embargo, no shoe thrown at the head of state.

If Iraq had the means and capability to launch a counter offensive, would they be justified in, say, killing a few hundred people in New York City? That's "the point of war", is it not? I'm not even asking for an eye for an eye here. Technically they've earned over 1 million innocent American lives, but for argument's sake, let's give them about 300.

Maybe more.

1. Respectfully, you are incorrect. There was no declaration of war
We declared our intent to invade Iraq, overthrow its government and occupy it indefinitely, yes. But there was no declaration of war, and there remains no declaration of war. In fact, the last declaration of war was with regards to our involvement in Korea.

4. Your numbers need some documentation
There were only twenty five million Iraqis when we first invaded. How could Hundred of millions have lost their homes. I do agree we created quite the travesty for reasons that were not as advertised..

5. The government only declared war on Iraq because...
They couldn't fight back. Free oil.
