41. I've got an idea of how it might be working:
SmarTech or another company hosting these names, might be providing significantly discounted hosting rates, and the RNC could be paying extremely high rates to compensate for it.

I don't know, I just guessing, but that's the sort of stuff that Duke Cunningham did, and I can't exactly figure out a good reason why all these folks would be using the same company. Maybe a far more reasonable scenario is the company is headed by a right-winger and is being given this as a sort of friendship.

I used to live in Chattanooga a few years back.

Olin Mills and Krystal are Chattanooga based companies.

Baylor school is a private prep school in Chattanooga.

I think Memorial Hospital is in Chattanooga, but I only remember Erlanger.

Church of God's national headquarters is in Cleveland, Tn, just a few miles north of Chattanooga up I-75.

Check out the Church of God connection. That sets off alarm bells for me. These guys are about as hard core Fundamentalist Christianist Republicans as you will find on Earth. I'll bet that nobody but a COGer has that web hosting account.

on election night.

here's a snip:

pisode49 launches a new Election Results Tracking system for 2006

"Even though we built the original system for the Presidential election back in 2004, this election cycle proved to be challenging." said Ken Smith, managing partner and chief strategist for episode49, LLC. "The additional focus placed on the individual races, especially in the House, required a much more detailed breakdown of the raw data we were collecting."

In 2004, the Republican National Committee was in search of a development firm capable of delivering a bullet proof system to track election night results for the Presidential Election. This system would not only need to track results, but also track exit polling and daytime turnouts. Collection of the data would involve many sources, such as the Associated Press, MCI and thousands of wireless applications with the requirement of delivering the tabulated results of millions of records in 15 minute intervals throughout the day. This need began what has become a very successful business relationship between episode49 and The Bivings Group.

Press Release
episode49 launches a new Election Results Tracking system for 2006.
Chattanooga, TN, Tuesday, November 7th, 2006:
“Even though we built the original system for the Presidential election back in 2004, this election cycle proved to be challenging.” said Ken Smith, managing partner and chief strategist for episode49, LLC. ”The additional focus placed on the individual races, especially in the House, required a much more detailed breakdown of the raw data we were collecting.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The success of the election night tracking system in 2004 opened the door for episode49 and The Bivings Group to build a newer and more detailed application for the 2006 elections. Turnout percentages and voting results were collected from multiple sources with the addition of updating a detailed polling page that served as scorecard for every race. This was an exciting new feature that enabled users to compare polling numbers from up to 5 of the major polling organizations with the latest results as they were updated. Data was further broken down by congressional and even bellwether districts. A bellwether district is one that has been identified as a leading indicator of future trends.
“We continue to be privileged to build the primary, first response delivery system of election results to the top Republican Organizations around the country,” said Smith, “but it couldn’t be done without a team that remains un-phased by the pressures of knowing that the White House is watching.”

WTF? This is scary (and ballsy and sloppy).

Republicans are a friggin mafia and their so-called "party" should simply be banned from US politics.

They're not playing by the rules, and there should be something more than a wrist-slap for this.

Rule of Law, Rule of Law, etc.

We need more technically knowledgeable folks to give this perspective.

Umbrella organizations make these kinds of decisions, and then the smaller orgs are told to use this service provider.

When I decide to host an application, I tend to stick with the same ISP.

This is less than a tempest in a teapot.

http://www.e49.com/news/pages/The-Republican-National-Committee-RNC-has-selected-episode49.html

Tuesday, August 23, 2005

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has selected episode49

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has selected episode49 to overhaul their primary application for boosting voter participation.

The current development builds on a prior project with the RNC that involved acquiring voter information for the entire country. The information was used to contact people who probably otherwise would not have voted.

"We were able to leverage our experience and technology to manage millions of time-sensitive database records provided by multiple sources." said Kurt Schaffer, managing partner and chief systems architect.

The RNC selected episode49 based on episode49's past experience in developing secure systems on the Microsoft .NET platform that involved large databases. Quick access and timely loading for the new project is essential.

episode49 provided evidence of their ability to create time- sensitive systems with their election night tracking application. Political leaders relied on it for the most accurate and up to the minute results in 2004. While the access was restricted to state and national party headquarters, it was the source for results from voter turnout to the presidential race throughout the country.

In preparation for the 2006 elections, episode49 is working on several political action focused projects, including a major site which was launched just over one month ago.

"The site features the latest technology to maximize online fundraising, mobilize our grassroots political organization, as well as state of the art communications tools." said Elizabeth Dole, Chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Verisign, maybe I'm just new to the party on this, but that's a little frightening.

official DOJ business is being conducted on a private server, thus is not available to the public. That's something, but probably nothing in the context of these threads.

That explains a lot of the Chattanooga/Bob Corker type links.

And I went to Hunter Properties website, and their staff page was taken down. All the rest of it was working fine. Something's up.

Try www.bigfrogvillage.com to see for yourself.

67. interesting...but I don't know if it's worth anything...
The one thing that ties together all our work is that our clients have complex requirements beyond just supplying a look. They need their sites to perform for their staff and people they serve. For them, it's more than just images.

We have connected listeners, donors and voters to the media sources, charitable organizations and candidates that matter to them, making it possible for their supporters to take action through what we've built. Our experience in consumer services is substantial, enabling our client's customers to place online transactions securely, and to be supported throughout their interactions with the company.

Because of our continuing commitment to our political action clients, episode49 only accepts development from political organizations whose mission is consistent with our existing client base.

Due to the success of the Presidential election night tracking system in 2004, episode49 and the Bivings Group have again been asked by the RNC to build a similar system for the 2006 election cycle. The site provides a secure interface for Republican leaders to analyze election statistics in real-time in order to activate grassroots volunteers.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/11/7/144314/082

It's not that the Republicans host their outreach on the same server...it's what might have occured in Ohio in '04...it appears that Blackwell outsourced the official site to an IP address that is hosted by these people. Hmmm.

85. Diebold certainly got all of the attention (or the lion's share).
Edited on Thu Mar-22-07 01:50 PM by Old and In the Way
Wally O'Dell (sp?), CEO of Diebold. was a Bush Pioneer and was opn record that he would "deliver" Ohio to Bush. Given the natural skeptism of an electronic device that isn't transparent, it was something to worry about. But this whole operation of outsourcing the numbers to an RNC server really has me wondering if the Diebold issue wasn't a feint (in some part) to cover for where the real action was. All I know is Karl has quite a internet boiler room operation going on in the WH...if he could see the actuals and how they were accummulating, maybe he could make one big "adjustment".

This reminds me of a DU thread from election night in Ohio
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1290765
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1290765&mesg_id=1290765

I assume this data mirrored off the results that were being posted on Ken Blackwell's "official" election results site.

Amazing how the small population increase in the exit polls had such a dramatic change in the mix.

71. have a look at this one

In their news section on the front page it states:

08-22-2004 - Local company hosts GOP Internet sites
By Andy Sher Washington Bureau

with a link to http://www.execonsult.com/index.php?page=news&sub=story&id=68

This server appears to be a good resource for whoever runs the "shop blue" resource guide.
