We'll find out in a relatively short period of time. Some won't consider he listened unless he boots Warren from the podium. That's not my litmus test. I think we'll know he did or didn't listen depending on what he does about DODT. He promised to get rid of it and end discrimination in the armed services. If he does that within his first few months, I'll take that as a sign that he did listen and not just hear. If he delays it with some excuse or another- and there is no excuse that's acceptable- then we'll know he didn't listen, that the GLBT community and liberals are merely useful tools.
and they endanger losing people like me who are strong Obama supporters. And if he delays nullifying DODT and replacing it with a policy that threats gays and lesbians just like any other people, he risks that same thing.
