Watch out for Smerconish who's a rising 'star' on Tweety...
We in Philly are on to him. Tweety's treating him like a brother from his 'home' city but Mikey is just a low-level, tinhorn Bill-O. He has not one original thought, he's a 'lawyer' of sorts, and runs a program on the local hate-radio station, 1210 -The Big Talker, which used to be the local CBS affiliate and was of the highest quality with guys like Jack McKinney, Bob Menefee, and a host of pretty bright guys and gals for the most part. You'll see Tweety promoting his ignorant verbiage as the 2008 election campaign starts to take shape,

1. Most of the these right-wing radio stations call themselves "The Big Talker."
Big talk is right.

3. Is that true?
Are they part of a network of any type. You know, besides the Hate Network...

8. I've heard it in several markets, delivered by the same announcer.
I don't know if it's a Clear Channel (or other right-wing company) thing, or if it's just been contracted out to the same production company to do the promo spots.

4. He has subbed for Joe Scarborough already.
Look out, they may be prepping him to take Tucker's place. After all, we MUST replace a conservative with yet ANOTHER conservative!

He's a chump.

6. I've been wondering if he's Matthews' boyhood pal
or if he's just best buds with Matthews' Con brother.

Oh, and his name reminds me of the first stool movement newborns pass.

7. Nah...
Tweety's Philly origins are greatly exaggerated. He uses this to assert his populist 'roots' - he's no more a Philly boy than Orrin Hatch is a Pittsburgher.

9. As a fellow Philadelphian, I can tell you
I've been on to him for quite some time. The first time I read one of his columns I wanted to
hurl. He's a real creep.

10. He really is a stupid man, even if he were a lib
I would hate his guts. You and I both know the kind of guy he is as a 'native' here. That tone comes from some mom and pop store just off the Boulevard near Pennypack Circle in the old days. Then again, I don't know how old you are. I'm old enough to remember when there were only 3 lanes in each direction North of Pennypack.

11. Smerconish pollutes the air on the Huffington Post on a semi-regular basis.
He should get along real well with Tweety. If you haven't had the displeasure here is a sample of some of his drivel when he joined the Inquirer and he wanted to tell everybody what a "straight shooter" he was:

“A frequent critic of the very page I have now been asked to join. "Too predictably liberal too often" has been my chief complaint.
This is not to say The Inquirer has brought aboard a Kool-Aid drinker. I may get the daily GOP talking points, but I rarely parrot them. In 26 years of uninterrupted voting, I've never pulled a straight party lever, and I'm not about to start.
Let me spare you some Googling. I'm about to offer you a primer on the world according to me. I call it my Suburban Manifesto. You'll quickly see that my words require no interpretation. I've never had the gift of entertaining and educating while leaving readers in suspense. With me it's down and dirty. So let's get started.
I believe so strongly in the need to profile Islamic terrorists that I wrote a book on the subject and donated the proceeds to charity.
I hate political correctness and think that it saps the rugged individualism that has been the hallmark of our nation. P.C. represents a cancer that has now metastasized into the war on terror, where it threatens our very survival. I have written a book about that, too.”
