Jenna Bush: I Was A Little Naive About How People Would Treat Our Father
http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20247796,00.html

In a PEOPLE interview, Jenna Hager and Barbara Bush, both 27, reflect on the strain George W. Bush has been under. The twins also offer some advice to the Obamas' daughters, Sasha and Malia, and Jenna's new husband Henry Hager talks about bonding with the First Father-in-Law.

Jenna and Barbara, how have you seen your parents change over the last eight years?

Jenna: Eight years ago, my dad was a very popular Texas governor. And I think in Texas, he was able to get a lot done because he was friends with Democrats and Republicans – Democrats supported him. So he was – we were very optimistic. I think maybe I was a little naive about how people would treat him. But he's never wavered in his decisions and he's the same as he was when we were little, his ethics. So that's something to be proud of in itself.

Barbara: And I would say we haven't see our parents as people change that much, because they've stayed the same to us and they've, as Jenna said, have the same characteristics and ethics that they had all their life.

Jenna: He looks a little bit older, obviously. He's been under a lot of stress, so we're ready for him to go back to Texas and be warmly received, I'm sure.

in more people getting sicker because the plants are able to pollute more and report problems less.

Then there's that Texas miracle or Houston miracle regarding Texas public schools that turned out to be a fraud.

Then there was the Funeralgate fraud thing he supported and lied about. Just google "Funeralgate SCI" and go to the Wiki.

14. Just wait until he no longer has the power to lock dissenters up in free speech zones.
Jenna and Barbara are in a bubble just as much as their daddy is. It will pop in 32 days.

16. Poor George!
Edited on Fri Dec-19-08 09:05 PM by gulliver
He only got to be President of the United States, an honor usually reserved for the worthy. And it put him under such strain to have ruined so much! Not guilt mind you, strain. It is a great strain to believe you are a decent man against the weight of such a mountain of contrary evidence and public opinion.

Maybe George should have had the guts Neal Bush did and just accepted his deserved fate: a life of wealth, but of obscurity and shameful trading on his name. Bush was not fit to be President. He didn't have the courage or intellect to stay out of the job. He doesn't have the integrity and insight to accept responsibility for what he has done.

Anyone feeling sorry for Bush should just look at the guy. He doesn't lose a minute of sleep while literally billions of people world wide have suffered loss, some bitter loss, some anguish, many life itself.

That's probably going to be in the next People.

20. Not sure what else they'd say...
It must really suck to be the daughters of the most reviled man in the world- the hands down worst President in US history- and have to reconcile themselves with that fact.
