10. The story
Representative Dan Burton R-IN wanted the whitehouse investigated for a fan club they had for Socks the Cat. He wanted to investigae to be sure that tax money wasn't used for postage etc. The investigation showed it was not and never had been. But then Barbara Bush had a fan club for Millie and that couldn't be investigated because it was the previous administration.

Aren't they a damn bunch of nuts.

6. Well, I never heard of such a thing!
I never heard of the cat being charged with anything... nor the Clinton's for that matter!

And it's still all Slick Willie's fault, no matter what the deal is, it's his fault.

What a powerful man! All this time out of office and he is still the most powerful man in the world, apparently.

And so corrupt... erm... even though they never nailed him with anything.

32. I love that photo....
That is like a rare photo of a wild animal, you just could wish for a better photo opportunity than Socks as Press Secretary.
He looks rufty, tufty with a slightly torn ear, I read that he hated Buddy and the always fought so Socks went to live with the President's personal secretary. It think that must have been a great honour for her to be given the President's cat as a leaving present.

11. I have no present recollection of ever fucking a cat.
But of course they did everything they could to stop, derail, and interfere with Clinton's tenure. Yet, he left office with one of the higher positive ratings in recent memory. Because, in part, of their 24/7 smear campaign, people hoped that getting a GOPer in office would allow peace and quiet to reign, while taking advantage of all the good things Bill had done.

little did people know. Except for Dame Molly Ivans, the honorable Madam Richards and others who had his number.

Now that the vultures are coming home to roost, investigating Bush's doggie won't cut it. Rather, I am thinking that a taser-enforced, strapped down questioning of Rove, Cheney, Addington, Libby, Rice, Hadley, and about 3 dozen others would be far more productive than simply putting them under oath. My only fear is that we run out of tasers.

15. How old is that article...
...it seems as though Clinton was still in office when it was written. I think that you may be missing the most important point in the article. He was against federal money for mammograms until his wife got breast cancer? Am I the only one who sees anything wrong with those stances? It has the stink of Jesse Helms about it.

Because of his great stances such as the one to cut funding for mammograms. Them bible belters living in his district just adore him.
