Authorities confirm remains are Caylee Anthony's
This case is so sad. That poor little girl... life over before it even had a chance to begin.

The remains found in a wooded area last week in Orange County, Florida, are those of Caylee Anthony, authorities confirmed at a news conference Friday.

Caylee Anthony, 2, had been missing since June in a case that has received national attention.

"It is with regret that I'm here to inform you that the skeletal remains found December 11 are those of the missing toddler," said Dr. Jan Garavaglia, the Orange County medical examiner.

The remains were confirmed to be Caylee's through a DNA match, authorities said.

Garavaglia said the cause of death was homicide, but she could not determine how Caylee was killed.

Casey Anthony, 22, faces charges including first-degree murder in the June disappearance of her daughter.

Casey Anthony could face a sentence of life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors said this month that they would not seek the death penalty.

1. I really can't prove that the mother did it...but what kind of sick monster would do this?
If the mother than...ugh...what a sick soul she is.

None-the-less, innocent until proven guilty.

2. This is one of those cases that needs the reminder of
'innocent until proven guilty'. I'm so thankful I don't have to sit on the jury for this. It's totally unfair of me but everything I've read or heard about the mother just turns my stomach. If she didn't do this than she knew who did and covered this up.
And how could any mother not be panicked at not knowing where their child is for even one hour, let alone one month? Something is terribly wrong with that young woman. I hope she gets help and whatever it is she deserves for her involvement in this horrible crime.

4. There is just "something" about the interaction of a headstrong, and personality-laden toddler

and an immature, selfish parent.... Throw in potty-training, eating & sleep issues, and the end result is often deadly to the child:(

Anyone who is a parent knows how trying it is to change pee-soaked socks or worse...4 times in a day..or to try to convince a fidgety 2 yr old that he/she needs to sit down & eat lunch/dinner...or that it's not play time..it's nap time..

a GROWN-UP knows that this is a phase, and the child will figure it all out, but there are many "parents" who think they can "spank/beat/discipline" a child into submission..and these episodes never end well:(

3. Very sad...
On the bright side, this soon means that the media will have to find another missing-white-girl case to obsess over - this one's done.

6. I really hope whatever happened to her, it happened QUICKLY.
I hate hearing that someone died slowly and painfully.

And justice will be served
