Fucking sick pricks.
Edited on Fri Dec-19-08 02:54 PM by HEyHEY
I'm doing a story on a company here who just announced four hundred layoffs. Out of habit I asked the PR guy, "How are you?" when he answered the phone. His response was, "Never been better!"

Also, they aren't layoffs... they're "Head count reductions." I think I just felt a chill go up my spine.

2. Sounds like a typical flack...
They never really hear your questions, anyhow, so expecting a sensible answer is a waste of time.

One reason I'm glad I'm not in magazine journalism any more is that I don't get calls from flacks now.

3. Ask him, again, January 2nd.
When he is out of a job, too.

4. Ask him the same question after his job goes bye-bye.
Those bastards think it will never happen to them.

Then you'll hear some whining.

10. Fortunately, the reductions won't go hungry
They'll just have food security issues.

7. Is it at all possible that he said 'Never been better!" sarcastically through gritted teeth?

9. a psychopath
there's not much difference between that person and a serial killer of strangers.

Someone told me a story yesterday of three people who broke in on an old woman and beat her up and then threw her in her car's trunk and went speeding around corners breaking her legs. And then she survived because when they stopped in a parking lot someone heard her whimpering in the trunk so the psychopaths got arrested. I'm pretty sure this kind of mentality is taking over lately, I will not have faith in humans anymore.
