April 28 - Spell Out Impeach - Nat'l Day of Protest Demanding Impreachment

George Bush and Dick Cheney have committed high crimes and misdemeanors, including misleading the nation into a war of aggression, spying in open violation of the law, and sanctioning the use of torture. A major new campaign of public protest, creative dissent, media activism, education, and coordinated lobbying has been launched to pursue accountability for these crimes through the Constitutional remedy of impeachment.

But Congress still doesn't seem to get it. So we're calling on all Americans who stand for truth rather than lying, for freedom rather than spying, and for justice rather than torture to join us on April 28 in spelling it out for them. Literally.

Parade through the streets with giant letters

There will be protests in towns and cities all over the country. And everywhere people will be using signs, their bodies, chalk, or anything else they can think of to spell out IMPEACH! We invite everybody to start thinking about the most creative, spectacular, beautiful, and clever ways they can come up with to spell it out. 19. Sorry... Would LOVE To March Again In D.C., BUT My Wallet Got

a little thin by going to the one on March 17th! I will send this information to StPeteForPeace and they will most probably get something in the works. I'll have to go up there instead, but I will gather some folks from the local area to make the little trip north of us.

I know several who wanted to go on the 17th but couldn't swing it. St. Pete is only about an hour away and I'm on their email list. Also I marched with them in September 2005 when I couldn't find the Florida For Peace group that I had initially hooked up with here in Sarasota.

Also will contact a great activist named Elaine in Tampa and another one in Gainesville named Faith.

Keep On Truckin'! And yes, I KNOW... it's out-dated, but still works for me!

But I have grandchildren, so maybe I should say, "let's GET DOWN with the BLING!" And I may have screwed up that phrase too! Regardless, let's make it happen!
