Those Republican Senators so concerned about overpaid US workers have a wonderful opportunity.....
Lead by example. Senators and Representatives make a little over $150,000 a year; those $30 assembly line workers make a little over $60,000. Senators and Congressmen get an automatic raise unless they vote not to accept it; they each receive about a million dollars a year for staff and office expenses. Don't even ask about their benefits, you don't want to know. All funded by the taxpayer, of course.

What an opportunity to ask Americans to "do as I do and not as I say"!

This years raise? A no-brainer, nip it in the bud. Then they should cut their salaries say, 20%, they can certainly afford it better than someone making a lot less. Retired public servants? Sorry, guys, the taxpayer can't carry you anymore.

If those Toyota Republicans aren't willing to bite the bullet themselves, they have no moral standing to lecture anyone else.

3. How about the Wal-Mart CEO who makes $15,000 an hour?
or United Technologies CEO who "earns" $18,000 an hour?

Let's talk about the redistribution of wealth that has happened under Repub rule.

4. Good point, but my greater complaint is against those so vehemently opposing
spending the taxpayer's money, as they live off the taxpayer's money.

5. They should accept the pay that MP's in Parliament make.
About $94,000 a year in USD.
When they do that then the union can talk to them
Hypocrites.
