Just buy a water bottle with a "secret" compartment and try to get on a plane and find out.

1. What Did He Do?
(Sorry, unless he's a hockey player, which he isn't, I wouldn't have a clue)

2. Caught with weed at the airport.
The bonehead actually hid it in a secret compartment of a water bottle and refused to get rid of it.

If it was me I'd be lounging in an orange jumpsuit at Gitmo by now.

5. Actually, the lab came back negative.
Another false alarm at the airport apparently.

9. What a reckless comment on your part saying he actually did something
when the lab results came back otherwise.

This is how rumors get started!

Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said Monday that Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick will not face criminal charges after last week's water bottle fiasco.

Vick tried to carry an Aquafina bottle through security at the airport but had to surrender it before boarding an AirTran flight to Atlanta. A detective who inspected the bottle said he noticed a secret compartment, as well as what he described as a strong odor of marijuana and a few dark flakes.

Lab tests were conducted on the bottle and no evidence of drugs was found, according to a memo by Deisy Rodriguez, an assistant state attorney. "Based on the lab's findings, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is not filing criminal charges," the memo stated. Rodriguez added in the memo that the bottle is no longer considered evidence in an investigation.

12. Few people could get away with carrying a smuggling contraption on a plane
Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 09:07 PM by billbuckhead
Actually they weren't protecting Michael Vick's reputation but the NFL's.

16. WTF are you talking about?? You know nothing about this alleged
"contraption" or this investigation, do you?

So stop throwing out allegations that Michael Vick received some sort of special treatment.

It's irresponsible.

how do you make a secret compartment in a clear plastic water bottle? Michael Vick must have majored in fucking engineering.

3. Of course.
Yeah, he's going to go through all the trouble of buying a bottle with a false bottom so he could smuggle a substance that's not illegal. Right.

18. No he did it. But they are letting him go.
That's special treatment. Because you know everyone likes to smuggle their perfectly legal substances like chewing tobacco in containers disguising themselves as legitimate items such as water bottles and shaving cream cans.

20. Oh, so it's special treatment to let him go after test results
show there were no trace of drugs within this alleged secret compartment?? :wtf:

I didn't make the decision.....prosecutors in Miami did.

What do they have to gain by lying about the test results and letting him go?

Stop convicting people for crimes they are not charged with.

I doubt you'd like it if you were arrested for something and charged for a crime not proved.

23. Well you can believe that's what actually happened if you want.
I believe otherwise. It makes no sense at all to use a secret compartment to carry something that has no need to be concealed.

25. Well, sure, he was concealing something.
He was concealing a priceless piece of Renaissance artwork in that water bottle.

I don't have any evidence. But I believe what I want to believe. That Michael Vick is such a fucking moran!

28. Yea you're right. African American athletes are well known for
getting special treatment. :eyes:

Why don't you at least articulate what a lab worker in Miami has to gain by lying about whether any traces of drugs were found on that bottle?

It wasn't even someone from the hometown Miami Dolphins. That would at least make sense.

He didn't even play college ball in Miami.....he played at Virginia Tech.

So go ahead an explain to all of us why he was given special treatment.

I can't wait to hear this.

(Of course, you won't respond because you won't want to sound any more ridiculous than you already have.)

31. Money talks.
It's in the best interest of the NFL to just have it go away. They have a whole lot invested in this guy. Let's not pretend that sort of thing doesn't happen all the time.

26. Yea so what. So what if this was a "compartmentalized" bottle?
Authorities have ruled there were no traces of drugs associated with any part of that bottle.

Obviously there were no traces of explosives or any other substance.

You're trying to stir up shit about a person who hasn't been charged with anything, and that's not cool!

29. Think the NFL ought to drug test him or maybe the whole league?
I bet if they drug tested NFL players a month after the end of the season, the results would be shocking and NOT race based.

30. You are so far all over the place with any type of point, it's unbelievable.
You have said that Michael Vick is receiving special treatment in Miami for drug possession.

He has been cleared by prosecutors, yet you refuse to explain why he would be receiving such special treatment.

And now you're going on and on about drug abuse within the National Football League which is an entirely different subject!

Please why won't you tell me why you are irresponsibly accusing prosecutors in Miami of giving this Atlanta Falcons quarterback special treatment?

If you feel you can't explain why, then just simply say, "Cboy4, I am making an accusation I absolutely cannot back up because it's my first amendment right to say whatever I want."

Stay focused for three seconds billbuckhead. I know you can do it.

hiding an illegal substance in a container he's not permitted to bring on a plane - real smart. besides, isn't his contract worth like $117 million? for that money he could afford to leave his pot in Miami and get some new shit when he gets home to Atlanta....

inside this container.

Stop slandering the guy for doing something authorities say he didn't do.

I can't believe people on a progressive discussion board are so reckless in their allegations.
