Harry Reid's contact page. If you think Shelby is risking a depression tell REid to do something
about it.

point out the info at this link:

Federal assistance to ALabama $28 Billion and South Carolina $48 Billion

You might suggest he start acting like the leader of the Dems in the Senate instead of a fucking douche-bag!

1. I really do not like Harry Reid.
He really does need to go. And he can take Pelosi with him.

We need change in America. We're going to have a first class President and Administration. We need to get rid of all the garbage still hanging around, though, and that means no more Reid and Pelosi. We need a clean sweep for President Obama to fix this country!

11. Mitch McConnell is probably worse than Reid and Pelosi, but that's no compliment.
I can't imagine what Kentucky voters were thinking. Maybe that's it...they weren't thinking. They just got the latest input from their friendly right wing radio personalities, and headed off to the polls.

And Chambliss? What the hell is Georgia thinking.

And Inhofe? What the hell is in the water in Oklahoma? (I live in Oklahoma.)

2. Shelby is an unAmerican Republicanist, Reid his enabler
I don't know if Reid serves the Republicanists out of fear or love. If love, we can't reach him.

Republicanists = economic terrorists. They hate the American way of life. They hate the middle class.

4. I sincerely hope you send your sentiments to Reid. You never know. Yours might be the email
that hits the tipping point!

8. Send Shelby Phone Books To Read...
Call this bastard's bluff...make him fillbuster. It's time to put this demon in the bottle and here's a great chance. Force this shitstain and his union-busting fuksticks to talk endlessly for days while the economy continues to tank, more people lose jobs and let's see how long they can take the pressure.

What the hell do you have to loose? A new 58 seat Congress is less than a month away and just let them ramble on and on until January 6th. Lets see how much support they have...or resolve.

10. What exactly is Reid supposed to do?
I've not been a big fan of Reid either, but he's not working with 58 or 59 Democratic senators -- he's got 51, and a couple are already on record opposing this. Most of the GOP opposes it too.

If the Republicans refuse to play ball, what could he -- or anyone -- do?

12. NOT by counting heads and giving up before giving it a shot. He can start by quoting from what
economists are saying. HEre is some from a study that was referred to on the Huffington Post:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/10/big-3-failure-would-cost-_n_150009.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, that lost employment would cost government at all levels $50 billion next year and $108 billion over the next three years, the center estimates, with Washington bearing most of that cost. Almost a quarter of the money would be for unemployment, welfare, health care and other costs government would have to carry, while the rest would come from lost collections of income taxes and payroll taxes that support Social Security.

In a more severe scenario in which the Big Three halted all U.S. operations completely, the three-year cost to taxpayers would be $156 billion in lost tax revenue and higher spending, the center says.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's just three fucking years. It will take a lot longer than three years to dig ourselves out of fucking DEPRESSION. I expect Reid to realize how fucking critical this situation is and start fighting for this country's well being. If he isn't up to it, the Dems need to get somebody who IS.

The Anderson Economic Group said the losses to he country if two of the Detroit 3 failed would be $66 Billion - in just the first two years Report: Letting Big Three go bankrupt will cost far more than bridge loan.

Who is the Anderson Economic Group? http://blog.mlive.com/capitolchronicles/2008/12/report_letting_big_three_go_ba.html">from the Capitol Chronicles:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This comes from a report issued by the Anderson Economic Group headed by Patrick Anderson. Free-market types should listen up because the erudite Anderson is hardly some way-out lefty - he's one of their own. Anderson is not a big fan of burdensome regulation and taxes. He is one of Michigan's top economists. And his research clearly shows that taxpayers would get a better deal if the Big Three get their $15 billion bridge loan."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He can continue by talking about the tax breaks ALabama and other southern states are giving foreign auto makers to set up in their states and ask whether we need to keep giving Alabama and other states those liberal continuous bail-outs with Federal low-cost loans, insurance and grants ($31 Billion to ALabama in 2003 and $49 Billion to South Carolina in 2006) - which have gone on for decades!

IF he counts heads and gives up before he gets started, as you just did, he should give up his job to someone who cares enough to fight for what is clearly right.

13. He should at least have a vote on ending debate
If the Republicans want to filibuster, let them. But I want a vote so everyone can see where every Senator stands (Republican and Democrats).
