SENATE SEAT FOR SALE. Call Blag the Self-Impaler at 1-800-ScrewUS.
All reasonable offers will be considered. Serious inquiries only, please.

All kidding aside, can we assume the prospective "buyers" were all Democrats. If so, we know that five Democratic politicians were in the running for the Senate seat--at least as far as Blagojevich was concerned.

This begs the question: Why have none of those Democrats come forward to expose Blagojevich for the corrupt bastard that he is?

Did one of the Blag Five squeal on the Governor? I certainly hope so. If those prospective "Senatorial appointees" were all subjected to the same offer, and I think we can assume that they were, does this mean that our politics has gotten so rotten that they did not consider the buying of the Senate seat to be an untenable act of political corruption?

I hope we will find that one of the Democrats who were in the Blag Five "did the right thing." But I have a feeling I'm fantasizing.

1. this type of corruption happens on the local level all the time
they do that shit here in albuquerque with liquor licenses. You want a liquor license? Well you better donate some money to the mayor's campaign and all of his buddies. This type of corruption is sickening and I'm shocked nobody is doing anything about it.

3. It is sad and sickening. As long as we the people are willing to say "that's just the way it is"
we'll have this type of government corruption. If we have to start at the bottom to rid the U.S. of this kind of crap I say go to it.

Fitzgerald already started at the top, so maybe we will meet in the middle.
