4. I hear what you are saying and I even think you are somewhat right

however when special ed children are mainstreamed the rest of the class gets to know them and their needs. Years ago when they were not even in our schools they were more or less invisible to the public. It was hard to get legislation on their needs when no one even knew about them. Somehow or other the socialization is good and should be worked into the system.
