And just like I'll say it about George, Blogoiovich also needs to do the time if, this is the real qualifier, if he is found guilty.

So just like George Bush if he were to be indicted... not guilty until the conviction comes in.. aka until they are found guilty

At that point judges should throw the book at these guys

3. It's not just today

this guy has been a nightmare for this state since his second year in office. He fired my (Democrat) brother-in-law only because he was hired during a Repub governor's adminsitration, several of my friends lost their jobs because he slashed funding to state parks, another friend had to close his winery because Blago cut related state programs, etc., etc.

There's a good reason he has a 13% approval rating -- today's revelations are just the tip of the iceberg.

But of course, only after he gets a fair trial will I take pleasure in seeing him rot in jail. In the meantime I'll look forward to his impeachment and/or resignation.

No one in this country would get far in efforts to make Jr. and Cheney answer for their crimes. If and when a trial before an international body like the World Court would ever happen I predict both Jr. and Dick will pull a Bill Casey.

Blagojevich needs to resign immediately, unless he can come up with some vaguely credible tale in which he isn't a lying whore who sold his office for profit. If he really thinks he might one day escape conviction, can he not see his way to doing so on his own time? Does he really want the Democratic Party shamed for even one more hour with these antics?

I think Fitz has trapped him, and that there's no way the Gov can portray himself as honest. That's a good thing, as it demands that Blagojevich do the honorable thing--or admit that he has no honor. I won't be satisfied with his assurances that he will be found not guilty; I say the conduct we know about makes him unfit to lead or draw a government paycheck. Let him explain it immediately, or pack his bags.

7. I'm amazed at the people on DU

who have the attitude that it's no big deal, everyone does it. It's the SAME thing the Republicans say when one of theirs is caught with their hand in the cookie jar. It also falls right in line with the "Thou shalt not speak negatively of any Democrat." Last I heard, the Democrats didn't have an 11th Commandment.

I will a ridiculous example about this from the world of gaming... replace political party for gaming universe and you'll understand this

Recently I met a guy who plays a game I used to play and gosh darn it, write for. This guy started to tell me just how much I stole from his game... at which point I challenged him to show the similarities. In the end I told him you build a shrine to this and pray to it? He got really defensive at that moment... replace gaming shrine for our political genius who broke all kinds of rules...and the sense of it cannot be...

I was making fun of this guy, but for some politics is to that level. You can do no wrong as long as you are a member of the same party I am part of. Not part of the religious reality. Given that politics plays in the same place in the brain as religion...
