1. reiterating that he wants
WH operatives under oath. Says committee will vote to issue subpoenas. Says it doesn't work if not under oath. Asked if Gonzales should resign, says that's up to the WH. Leahy sounded dead serious and absolutely committed in this interview. Not to mention pissed as hell.

3. I think he found the "high ground"
I doubt that the misAdministration can undermine his position. Their track record for honesty is not good.

6. I think he needs to fine tune his talking points.
This topic needs a hard sell. Keep it simple and keep repeating "We must have them testify under oath. Why are they trying to avoid taking the oath?" Something like that. They all need to hammer that message nonstop.

7. That is right on - keep it simple....Why don't they want to be under oath & why don't they want a

Record?

For accountability to work, it HAS to be documented.

9. It will be interesting to see how Specter votes.
He has talked tough in the past, but always seems to back down when it comes to a vote.

17. Let me take a guess (being from PA): He'll vote with Bush, but "to uphold
the principle" that Presidents need "candid advice".

from me.

I understood when the GOP had all the power and we were slapped around like red-headed step-kids, all we could do was take it. We "ALL" worked hard getting the Dem's back in power and it's time we do some bitch slapping pay backs.
