Our new best friend: Rupert MURDOCH (Michael WOLFF bio, interview with KURTZ)

What caught my attention first was: That MURDOCH --------*HATES*--------Bill O'LOOFAH. WOLFF didn't have direct quotes, but said that every time O'LOOFAH's name was mentioned, MURDOCH would go into his Arrrghhh-pirate mode, and that everybody around MURDOCH, all of the people with daily and intimate contact with him, ALL *hate* O'LOOFAH, but that the bottom line is the bottom line that O'LOOFAH makes money for Faux.

Other nuggets:

* That MURDOCH is also "embarrassed" by Faux Propaganda Network, that he is at core a creature of print not of t.v., that Faux is entirely Roger AILES's (not Rosemary's) baby, that AILES claims his contract says (disputed by MURDOCH's staff) that MURDOCH canNOT interfere with Faux, although AILES *can* be terminated.

* That MURDOCH is "henpecked," that his personal eras tend to reflect the wife he is married to at that time, that Wife #(2?) was a wingnut so that MURDOCH was more wingnut during that period, that the current wife is much younger and much more (open?) with his corresponding to this as well.

* That he is shy and "averse to confrontation."

that WOLFF said EVERYBODY at Faux (except AILES) absolutely HATES O'LOOFAH!1 This is fantastic for me, at least, to hear!1

Otoh, given the premise that the Faux apparatus are all "lying idiots" with which I totally agree, something STILL makes me like it that their owner, PLUS the niche people the owner supposedly contractually can't interfere with, ALL hate Bill O'LOOFAH!1
