Obama's real number one enemy

It's not going to be anyone on Fox News,
Nor will it be any member of the Republican party,
Nor of the Green party
It will not be anyone from Iran, Iraq, Russia, Europe, or Latin America,
and no, it will not be either Clinton
It will be none other than

NANCY PELOSI

Ok, why do I say that? Simply this, she and many of the small d democrats in congress have been able to keep a job without doing much of anything. Now that they have Obama and the Majority, they will be called upon to do work, and miss nanacy will have none of it. Nanacy is the one that will make shady deals to the GOP, selling us out, making sure they keep Obama's reforms on a tight leash. I know many of you thought Hillary would play this role, but Hillary knows she will need to put something on the books if she is to keep her own ambitions alive, she NEEDS to have Obama be successful in terms of foreign policy. However, Pelosiu has been doing just fine as is, because she knows that no one will vote her out of her district (as poor Cindy Sheehan showed) and that as long as things are crappy, she can pretend to be sympathetic, and still collect her paycheck.

I have to agree in principle with the OP in that the biggest threat will be the entrenched establishment who want to maintain the status quo and their power.

In fact, I am convinced the opposite is true.

His number one enemy will not be those who wish to change nothing. It will be those who expect him to change everything immediately. The man isn't even in office yet and already I see people complaining that he isn't doing enough. The GOP will, of course, be working that nerve endlessly and is no doubt very happy with the help they're getting from Democrats.

The mess Obama is taking over is bigger, deeper, and knottier than we know. Short of a magic wand, it's going to take time to clean it up.
