Just watched recount - WOW!

What a great movie! I was only 12 years old when this fiasco happened, so I was not really familiar with everything that was going on behind the scenes. Of course I familiarized myself with what happened, but the movie really filled in the blanks.

Two thumbs up!!

8. I believe I was in 6th grade when that shit for brains Bush was elected for the first time.......

I really didn't pay to much attention to politics at the time because I was a kid. As I grew older and heard more and more about how the election was stolen I wanted to know more about it and I still do. So I would love to see this film, is it on DVD?

It took me a while to gather the strength to watch Recount. There was a documentary about Florida 2000 narrated by Danny Glover that I made the mistake watching before bedtime once - frickin movie aggravated me so much I didn't sleep a wink.

14. I just started watching at the link.

So far, I see one thing I am glad they added into the movie: the fact that MSM called it for Gore, then called it for Bush and the AP held out...MSM fucked us all kinds of up in 2000 by calling it too soon. That left the impression in so many minds that Bush had won, when, in reality, it was still too close to call.

They still haven't counted the votes...Gore won, but Bush went whining to his daddy's friends in SCOTUS. So we have been stuck with him for the last 8 solid years. I'm still pretty pissed off about 2000.

And I don't think it was that far off from the truth.

Many events in that film triggered memories of mine.

It was my first election to vote, and it still bothers me how the Baker team would do anything and everything to circumvent the will of the voters in Florida.
