Did anyone just see Scarboroug?
Where was Pat? I almost spit my coffee - The Nation, Katrina vanden Heuvel The New Republic, Ryan Lizza and Gore's attorney (oops, can't remember the name) were all on talking about todays events concerning Gonzales and The Decider.....I was floored - Dead Intern Joe was the only red one there and the only creepy thing he did was defend Delay....something's happening, do you feel it?

3. I know that - but where was Pat?
He usually has another right wing patsy in there to offer another side - this was soo way to the left...Katrina can get pretty contiguous when she wants to.

10. I think Bois might have been there to give a dissenting voice.
He seemed to do that on another talk show recently.

2. Bois was a guest and imo, he's totally useless.
For the Democrats, that is.

4. i didn't see it but really if bush's poll numbers were say in the 50's do you think Joe
would be singing another tune? I do and i remember all the shit that Joe said about Kerry last election cycle and it also takes real guts to against popular opinion and Joe doesn't do that, he sticks his finger in the air and finds out which way the wind is blowing.

6. I saw that first part, before retreating in revulsion.
I got the impression that he was throwing a bone to Katrina - perhaps she was less than enthusiastic about appearing on his worship Joe extravaganza, given that he often brings her on, lets her get in half a sentence and spends the time ridiculing her - with paying her more attention and the parting shot of a nebulous half promise to bring her on for the whole show, sometime.

I agree with the common analysis: that the chump should have let well enough alone and not issued a challenge in public.
He could have quietly and deftly milked the situation, dragged his heels and, perhaps, run out the clock. His red meat speech was meant for the freeper types and they are a declining minority and getting smaller by the day. But, leave it to bush, he zigs when he should zag and will no longer be shielded and protected by droves of idiot McConnell and Cheney wannabes.

This is his best shot and, in politics as in most endeavors, one does not lead with his best shot-once that card is played, there is no way to better it.

8. It was chilling to hear
Keith reminisce that todays spew from Mr. Bush smacked of Nixon and Watergate....I pray that it will happened and we are seeing the beginning of the end. The sooner, the better.

7. Something tells me Bush has a lot more to hide than just the US attorney issue
Bush looks like a hunted man. He looks like Richard Kimbel (aka David Jansen) in The Fugitive, hunching his shoulders and on the run from the prosecutor obssessed with his capture. I think Bush is deathly afraid that enough crap will come out in the US attorney investigation that will justify a lot deeper probes in his administration. If Rove is allowed to testify now, it will not end there and will go on and on until Bush himself finds a subpoena lying next to his peanut butter and honey sandwich at lunchtime. I wouldn't be surprised at anything they could dig up on Bush. I assume he's has a hand in every type of nefarious activity under the sun during the last 6 years.
