Can Someone Set Andrew Sullivan's Appearance On Countdown...
...to music? I wanna hear his statements about Rove and the Repubs with good music...although without music it was pretty good...for those that missed it, it was, well, breathtaking...TALK ABOUT FLIP FLOPPING!

1. Eh... he's routinely been like that on Bill Maher's show
It was quite awhile before I realized he was supposed to be a conservative.

3. Yes, he's a true conservative, imo.
Jeff Gannon should take lessons from him.:)

4. I kinda like Sullivan...
He is that rare breed anymore.....a rational conservative. I think I could deal with his kind of conservative.

He hates the neo-cons.

7. Yes he did. It was sick.
He's an idiot for the way he defended Bush on the war for so long.

In fact, he's an idiot for a lot of other stuff too.

9. And he's written some good pieces...
...on how he was totally wrong.

There are other things that he has transformed on, but maybe in that respect, I kinda take the "Jesus" approach. I see a lot of value to one who embraced wickedness but turned to good, and they've been an asset to our cause (HuffingtonPost, MediaMatters). It won't be those that have always thought the war was wrong to convince boneheads otherwise, it'll be those that, like them, supported it because of their shitty fucking judgement and blind ideaologies, and turned against it because reality kicked them in the teeth.

6. Sullivan is master of fickleness.
Seriously.

He's gung ho for Bush until he's not.

8. Like the weather. Stick around long enough and it will change . . .
like Sullivan's opinion on any particular topic.

10. He is entitled to change his mind. However...
that gives him absolutely NO slack for cheerleading for thie degenerate war from 2002-2004.

This war was a sick disaster then, as it is now. Anyone who couldnt see that was willfully ignorant at best, and most likely an outright liar.

There is blood on his hands as a member of the "press".

11. Or his other creepy ethical crimes.
Sullivan, who is HIV positive, took out an anonymous personal ad on a bareback (ie high risk unprotected sex) website, and solicited bareback sex.

This is the same guy who derided Bill Clinton for "reckless", and criticized other gay men for being promiscuous. And at the same time taking out sexual ads himself.
