2007 Rockefeller Christmas Tree Built a House....

For a victim of Hurricane Katrina. The family was on hand at this years lighting of the 2008 Rockefeller Christmas Tree. I never knew what they did with the trees after the holiday season, always thought is was a waste to cut the tree down just to decorate it for a month and then tear it down but this story is pretty neat.

on its coastlines to help offset land erosion. It's become traditional for folks to take their trees to designated areas, where trucks haul them away to the coastlines.
