Today's the day in Georgia! Post updates here!


ATLANTA – Georgia voters returned to the polls Tuesday to decide one of two unresolved U.S. Senate races that Democrats need to win for a 60-seat majority impervious to GOP filibusters.

Republican U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss faces Democrat Jim Martin in the runoff after a monthlong spurt of campaigning highlighted by visits from national political heavyweights from both parties. Polls opened in Georgia at 7 a.m.

1. I was proud to vote against Saxbut again today
Not much turnout at my polling place in a very red part of Savannah. Hope they stay home.

I would be happy if they all decided to devote their time to "other priorities"
