Best place to spend shopping on Black Friday.
THE INTERNET.

I found awesome deals on newegg.com and a few other places for the few things I bought, and I didn't have to wait outside in freezing cold weather just to risk being trampled by what seems like a herd of stampeding buffalo. Shopping in a t-shirt & boxers is also cool.

Did anyone else shop solely online?

3. I'm disappointed with online shopping.
I don't see how it can match the 50% off the whole store that I found at our local Banana Republic and Carters outlets, which when paired with the $10 off $50 and the 15% off for purchases over $100, or the $20 GC for $100 along with $10 off $50 I found at Lowes just can't beat what I see online.

I did get a coupon from Sephora for $15 off of $35 though. That is pretty crazy seeing as how nothing goes on sale there.

11. I love online shopping.
I don't care if I pay a little more; it's worth it not to have to fight a crowd. The only time I venture out to actual stores is when I need something that absolutely has to be tried on, and even then I would never go on a Saturday or during a big sale.

6. I didn't buy anything online.
Edited on Mon Dec-01-08 03:08 AM by LeftyMom
I had my eye on one deal, but it went out of stock in seconds, apparently. And other than a few bucks worth of groceries and a Hot Wheels car, I didn't buy anything else, either.

8. I do not shop.
I make dinner for the people I love. I am an excellent cook. My husband bakes cookies. His baking is celebrated citywide. I give baby sitting and elderly sitting as a present. We all need a break.

When my daughter was little (she is 18 now) she was allowed to ask Santa for 3 presents. But she never knew about mass produced toys. We didn't watch TV and we told her that the Toys R Us catalog was fiction. For the last 7 years she gets 1 present.

My husband and I do not exchange presents. We decide to buy something that we need together or we book a weekend out of town.

9. I did 100% of my shopping online
My family uses the amazon wish list and then I go from there.
All my husband wanted were three old CDs. The first Rolling Stones album, Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison and a Sinatra CD. Didn't spend much and got free shipping.

10. Other than everyday consumables, I buy just about everything online..
There isn't all that much in the stores that interests me anyway so I rarely shop in person.

I used to like going to the flea market until it became 90 percent mass produced crap instead of what came out of people's attics.

Ebay, craigslist, Amazon and a few more specialized sites pretty much keep me busy shoppingwise.

13. Newegg is awesome...and you're right, ordering shit online
is infinitely preferable to getting in my car and driving off to some shithole shopping center where I can spend hours getting bumped, bruised, and jostled by rude assholes, hear the wails of screaming, undisciplined brats because parents won't buy them things, and then trying to navigate a bottleneck out of the parking lot.

15. We found a GREAT place to shop on Black Friday - our local SPCA
Although we now call it "Black and Tan Friday." What a great start to the holiday season, and the best $100 we've ever spent!

17. I do most of my shopping online...
but somethings I still go buy at Walmart or Best Buy. UPS is starting to show up at my house almost everyday. That is a sure sign that Christmas will be arriving soon.
