Would you please consider signing this petition to take care of this issue? My father is buried here and it is truly sad.

Be sure to click on pictures and videos.

Please K&R to keep this visible.

Thank you!

13. I'm mobilizing the genealogical community...
graves are of utmost interest. Once they're done with the issue, the perps will be begging for mercy.

8. Done.
I visited this cemetery while my son was in Basic training many years ago. I am appalled by this desecration.

10. That's not "xeriscaping" it's a RAPE and DESECRATION!
Edited on Sun Nov-30-08 02:30 PM by TankLV
If xeriscaping was done corredtly, the place would look BEAUTIFUL!

A cemetary in a desert does NOT need "grass".

A proplerly xeriscaped landscape is quite beautiful to behold.

The weather and butchers who did this know NOTHING about xeriscape landscaping...!

I will NOT sign a petition to return wasteful grass to a DESERT!

If the petition had a requirment to hire a competant LANDSCAPER, then I'd be for it...

sorry...

17. Maybe your pop would be glad they are not wasting water on grass...?
I'm not saying that is true because nobody can know but the fact is grass used as decoration is a huge waste of water. My family has all opted for cremation which doesn't require ongoing care of decorative ground cover, water and real estate. Please don't think I'm disrespecting your father, I was in the service during the VN "war" myself and lost several good friends there.

18. I think the point is that it needed to be done correctly so that this damage...
...didn't happen. I doubt many people would be happy to have a family member laid to rest in these conditions.

20. Thank you for not seeing my post as disrespectful. I just happen to think that
those deceased have no interest in or indeed the ability to be interested in the condition of what remains of their ...uh, remains. Eventually our planet will be immolated along with the rest of the solar system and later the whole universe will cease to exist, so I am pretty much unconcerned with what happens to contemporary humans including myself. I recently buried my mother and was thinking what a stupid waste of property it is. But of course I did it because it's what she wanted...it is not what I want for myself.
:-)
