1. Because Wal-mart is evil. Anyone else is not. And besides, Toys-R-Us is angelic.

2. Because the deaths in Toy R' Us were different
Some guy carried a gun into the store. Now just what in the hell can the store do about that? Walmart, on the other hand, could have done something about crowd control. Like maybe issue lottery like tix and draw numbers to get in first. Or something else. At any rate, something different could, and should have been done.

tore a door off the hinges at a Wal-mart.

edit: They practically demolished that door. And then when asked to leave a crime scene they b*tched and moaned.

3. WalMart was about Black Friday stampede mentality and not caring about employees
Toys R Us was about a gunfight that had nothing to do with Black Friday.

Major differences between the two stories/events

10. Surley
Toy R' Us should have installed metal detectors. I mean come on, random gangbangers kill eachother all the time. Talk about putting someone's life in danger. We should sue them now!!!
:sarcasm:

13. Thank you, Miss Hendo. You're excused from the jury pool.
You seem to lack the ability to understand the difference between an unforseeable criminal act of two individuals and a complete failure by a store to adequately prepare for a rush a people they encouraged and invited to be there.

Fortunately, almost everyone else gets it.

15. Mister?
How am I to know? You have to disclose gender if you want posters to know it.

As for assigning blame to potential jurors, that is something I'm quite comfortable doing, based upon trying a whole bunch of lawsuits to a jury, and picking a bunch of jurors in the process. I know what gets people excused from the jury panel for cause. A potential juror who walks in the door thinking they know who is at fault is pretty much an automatic dismissal for cause. Juries are made up of people who will listen to the judge's instructions and follow the law. You don't seem to be that sort of person. You seem to worship your own opinion, whether it is informed or not.

i had thought that i did set it in my profile.

edit:
and i am not worshipping my own position any more than all the anti-walmart posters here. I am open to both positions, what pisses me off is when people only blame Wal-mart for something and fail to blame those involved. Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
