2. And the murderous assholes who killed that man.
Edited on Sat Nov-29-08 10:17 PM by Skip Intro

WalMart certainly bears a contributing blame here, but it does not diminish the unbelievable actions of the people who actually trampled that man to death. Everyone is responsible for his/her own actions. I want every one of those sick bastards to face justice too.

3. This is the core of the matter.
"This incident was avoidable," said Bruce Both, President of Local 1500. "Where were the safety barriers? Where was security? How did store management not see dangerous numbers of customers barreling down on the store in such an unsafe manner? This is not just tragic; it rises to a level of blatant irresponsibility by Wal-mart. UFCW Local 1500 will demand a full investigation by all levels of Government to ensure both justice for the surviving family members and to ensure the safety of current employees and the general public. This can never be allowed to happen again and those responsible must be held accountable."

4. "Culpable Negligence".. Wal-Mart knew (or should have known)
that their employees were in danger because of their store promotions.

5. it wasn't their store promotions. It was their failure to provide adequate crowd control.

the language in them (Doorbusters, worth waking up for) their YEARLY marketing plan using sophisticated propaganda techniques to manipulate minds fully softened up/dumbed down by "Affluenza" (see our Political Videos Forum) and "The Century of the Self" http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8953172273825999151 both of which examine causes rather than rail against symptoms. May WalMart's EPIC FAIL in providing a safe environment for customers and employees deliver the bite in the butt they have so richly earned.

There may be several silver linings to this dark cloud.

The horror may shock enough that this Black Friday "running of the bulls" be curtailed.

Some may begin to question their self-defeating beliefs about stuff.

As the "search for the guilty" develops, those who may be rounded up, traced by their credit cards and surveillance and held accountable as individuals for the result of an easily preventable mob action may have an epiphany.

Walmart's already tarnished image could get even worse, prompting communities to prevent them getting a foothold and working their magic.

In the words of the famous Judy Tenuto, "IT COULD HAPPEN!"
