Look, I am not about to criticize our new President-Elect...
I think Barack will do the very best job that he can do. I have no doubts. I voted for him because I saw no one that I thought could do a better job.

We will dearly hope that he talks with his Treasury Secretary frequently and that they both understand the enormousness of the problem. And that they come to a solution together.

We hope that solution does not harm the working poor or our middle class? We have high expectations for Barack. However, we understand fully the paranoia associated with change and especially, with our financial institutions, ie, banks, etc.

First of all, Barack is a uniter. He understands that we all need to come together at this time. He reaches out to Republicans and others with ideas that might help this country as a whole. All these ideas will be meshed together to find solutions that best serve our People.

We have serious problems with Wall Street and our banking systems. Personally, I think there should be a five-year plan to take care of this problem. The remaining $350 billion of Congressional authority funds should be divided into five parts of $70 billion each. There should be a revenue-sharing program with each city of size within our nation. Basically, they would be grants to provide jobs for people that are looking for work. A five-year plan should give us room to breath and to ascertain if the problem is gone or diminishing at that time.

I do not feel there is a need to criticize Barack at this time. As bad it may pain us to admit, we do need to unite as a nation. Barack Obama is a uniter.

4. Exactly
As a President-elect, he's doing a great job.

But, we have to keep in mind that when he becomes President, he's going to be the perfect target for the rightwingnuts who will, as usual, be their own irrational selves, going after him so much intensely than they did Bill Clinton - and, as I recall it, they went after Clinton on Day One.

So, while we're never going to let Our Man off the hook if we think he's blowing it, we really need to put ourselves between him and Them.

Because you know - you just know - they're pawing at the ground, drooling, waiting to start on January 20, 2009, 11:59 pm.

7. You nailed it. As far as I'm concerned "my" job will be to protect
Obama from the onslaught of right-wing buffoonery. What the nutjobs have planned is to lie about Obama's every move and outright make stuff up. My job is to not help them in that regard but rather to set the record straight.
