Wall Street execs should not only have to forfeit any bonuses, but...

they should all be thrown in jail and all of their assets liquidated. I've said this before, but I repeat it, since I heard Rush Limbaugh tell his listeners today that the Wall Street execs EARNED the right to those bonuses. Limbaugh went on to say that, not only do the executives have the right to those payouts, but that the New York economy is dependent on them, and that if the bonuses weren't paid out to these executives, it would collapse.

Let ME go record as saying that those vermin on Wall Street are bigger pirates than anyone presently sailing the high seas. They have pulled off the biggest swindle in the history of mankind and the government didn't demand any accountability. Our government did not demand a plan for either solvency of these companies or for getting the country out of the mess they created. Citibank, primarily owned by Saudi investors casually mentions that it needs 20 billion here, twenty billion there, and they get it without so much as a question asked.

So let me ask you: Have you heard anything on the news by ANYONE about possible illegal manipulation of funds, or illegal accounting practices, or any news about ANY investigations that might just lead to prosecuting any of these subhuman beings? Because I'll tell you, the depth and breadth of what these people did to this country and the millions of average investors and pensioners who have been financially ruined is about as unforgivable, about as twisted, about as lowdown as you can get. And surprise, surprise, the media is pretty mum on that particular angle of this whole story.

I just had to vent, after hearing Limbaugh try and defend the indefensible.

4. Those must be some remarkably worded contracts...
if they allow these execs to run their respective companies into the ground and get paid extra for it. Color me naive, but I was always under the impression that you had to do something positive to merit a "bonus"?

6. Damn. The limp one has found a way to defend the indefensible. By using fear
and scare tactics - again. The classic "give us money or your economies will collapse" followed by the wink wink nod nod.

Anyplace other than limpland, this is known as extortion.

I must say, this administration has got this down to a formula and has distributed it to all its minions.

1. Put gun to head (the fear and smear tactic)
2. Make your demand (money, war, politicizing public offices)
3. Rinse an repeat quickly before balance can be regained

8. EVERYTHING with the wall street criminals is a scam.
Recent scams include Y2K scam, DOT.COM scam, Mortgage scam, Energy/Oil scam, commodities scam, Health care scam and so it goes. WHENTF are WE all going to wake up and do something about this instead of becoming the victims of one scam after another. Remember, when times get really, really tough, these GD SOBs will take the last morsel of food out of your mouth if they can make a buck and maintain their wealth. wall street is the epitome of human filth and unconscionable corruption.

9. They do belong in prison.
If you're too big to fail then you cannot be allowed to act irresponsibly. The bigger you get the tighter the vice has to be on your nuts. That's the trade-off.

I don't doubt that many of the corporate pigs fully understand that they can take all the foolish risks they want in hopes of hitting the jackpot and if they should lose they can always show up at the U.S. Treasury with their tin cups for a hefty handout.

10. We have been, and ARE being LOOTED by Corporatists
It makes me feel nauseous every time I think about it.....WHY are we sooo uninformed, non-curious, unable to see our own best interests????

We are but a shadow of our former selves. It makes me want to cry, and scream at those that went along w/ Reagans' gutting of the educational system.

I weep for our nation.
