1. scattered showers. steadier rain tomorrow. doesnt sound so severe unless one
is near a fire zone where there may be some mudslides and flooding.

Msongs
Riverside CA

btw we really do need a good soaking rain even though there may be some repercussions in the fire zones.
have had a good rain since May (see my thunderstorm video of that event at youtube:

2. It'd be nice if it didn't start until AFTER I get home from work ...
Since we haven't had rain for a while, the roads are
going to be slick and dangerous ... ugh.

But I am SO sick of herbal tea and lying around
feeling like crap.

15. For how long? I haven't been sick this long for YEARS! And it keeps changing-
It's like have three or four different flu bugs all at once?
Is that what's happening to you?

I think I'm going to break down and go see the doctor tomorrow.

18. OMG! The cough is the worst part. Please don't tell me it can last for weeks!
Edited on Mon Nov-24-08 10:21 PM by Liberal_in_LA
Last night I had to get out of bed at 3am and sit upright on the couch for about an hour. The cough was making me feel like I was gagging.

20. Yep... AND I never knew the body could produce THAT much SNOT!!!!!
I've gone through a box of tissue a day.
It seems to travel from my head to my chest and back again.
It's a REAL nasty one.

27. All of you guys above me.....
I had the same, kept thinking it would go away. I finally went to the doctor and I had pneumonia. First time ever, and I'm no spring chicken. Knocked my socks off.

Thank goodness for insurance. Prescriptions were $300.00.

Go to the doctor!

That'll fix ya up.

However, now that you mention soup, some Miso would be nice.
Thanks for all your support through Goober.
I can't tell you how much your being there meant to me through that
terrible ordeal.
However, I would be happy to buy your margaritas
when you have time to join a veggie taco gathering...

We Californians have our own seasons:

riot, fire, mudslides and earthquake.

9. Howdy, neighbor! Forecast is for 1/2-4". Probably won't amount to much
unless the burn areas get heavy rain.

14. Dark clouds gathering over here.
The sky over this way has been looking pretty
foreboding as far as what's blowing in.

Again- thank you for being there through Goober.

I think the burn areas are the concern- I hope it
doesn't hit too hard there.
I think those folks have been through quite enough.

19. About time...
The roof is patched (hopefully properly, but frankly, a good storm is what it'll take to see...) and tools and stuff are in. I'm off this week, just dealing with a few loose ends from a couple of jobs, and I think I'll just do a little relaxed puttering around the house.

We could use some rain.

25. We just got pounded by a huge firestorm.
No vegetation on hills = mudslides. We may not get snow but we do get a lot of other shit during the winter.

26. I hope the rain holds off for my nightly trip down the 710
Man that freeway gets hazardous in the rain. The combination of rain, oil slicks, huge pot holes, and a wall of 18 wheelers is not good...

For those of you that don't know, 16% of all commerce in America flows through the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach and most of it gets loaded onto trucks that drive up the 710.
