3. Kucinich
He's a good guy, but I don't think he could win in the General Election.

11. I voted for him in the last general election
Maybe I'll do it again. I really hope Gore runs, though, because he can win. ;)

2. Well frankly, I'd limit it to the announced candidates or those who
have formed committees. So it wouldn't be Gore because I frankly don't know if he's a candidate. At this time It's a toss up between Edwards and Obama. If Gore got in--it would be Gore. I could be persauded for Clark too, I think--and Richardson. But if push comes to shove, probably Obama.

5. There Are Enough Polls With The "Announced" Candidates
I want to see who people here at DU want and would vote for Today, if they could. The future remains unknown.

16. None of this matters anyway....
None of this will matter, seriously, until December!

A lot can and will happen between now and then.

18. and I told you. But you're wrong about "there are enough polls" with announced candidates
most polls on DU do include Gore, for instance, since he's the one who usually wins them, right?

14. My Impression So Far
Gore could probably win the Nomination in a landslide, and Clinton might not even be his main opponent. If he chooses to run.

That's assuming that DU more or less represents the type of Democratic voter who will cast a ballot in the primary.

It comes down to whether he feels he could win the General Election. I am beginning to realize as time goes on, and seeing the support within the Democratic "Base," that Gore would have no problem in the primaries. His decision will likely ultimately come down to how he thinks he can do in November '08. He wants to know he can Win it.

21. he could win the nomination on DU in a landslide, we aren't sure about
the Democratic party as a whole. Even polls which include him as a choice for '08 have him running third or fourth.

22. I Think He Destorys Clinton Though
I feel the "I'll Vote For Hillary Just Because" vote will all go to Gore, if he decides to run.

the choices should be in alphabetical order.

Seems skewed with HRC at the top and the first choice... (not mine! lol)

Thanks for adding Gov. Bill Richardson! ;)

When did Gore say he was running? He has said he isn't! So why is he in this poll?

24. Some Other Observations
Biden & Dodd probably shouldn't even waste their time.

Obama looks like a bit of a longshot, most definitely if Gore runs.

Edwards is weaker than I expected, but I'm guessing he loses a significant amount to Gore.

It's Gore's to lose if he runs, otherwise it's a 3-4 way horserace possibly.

I know, I know, there's lots of time left. Still interesting to see now though, before hopefully Mr. Gore reconsiders later this year.
