Theory: 21st century losing VP candidate is thereafter cursed
2000 it's Lieberman. Need I say more?
2004 it's Edwards. Though he survived most of the pretty-boy big hair crap, he stupidly goes out and has an affair, even as he plans to run again.
2008 Palin, the gift that keeps on giving. She was a scandal a day after being announced, but the really fun stuff has started since the election, with the turkey-slaughter video being only the first of hopefully many wrong turns.

Discuss.

1. Every winning VP candidate has won, too.

2. Palin is the latter-day
Kato Kaelin.

Ultimately, a punch line for a bad joke.

She's already history.
