that this could be worse than the Republican Great Depression of the 1930's...

At that time, the US gov't didn't have the debt load it already is burdened with today AND the country was still Industrial Capitalist. In other words, we built things. Which made it easier to get people back to work.

Today, we no longer make anything - we went from Industrial Capitalism to Finance Capitalism AND the US gov't is soaked in debt....

3. Yes I'm putting off buying food, gas and heating oil indefinitely to get the lowest price.
Most family budgets were squeezed by insanely high food and fuel prices this summer - is this truly "deflation" or just an overdue correction in response to (GOP abetted) commodity speculation?
