Big Three auto CEOs flew private jets to ask for taxpayer money (Assholes)
"There is a delicious irony in seeing private luxury jets flying into Washington, D.C., and people coming off of them with tin cups in their hand, saying that they're going to be trimming down and streamlining their businesses," Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-New York, told the chief executive officers of Ford, Chrysler and General Motors at a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee.

"It's almost like seeing a guy show up at the soup kitchen in high hat and tuxedo. It kind of makes you a little bit suspicious."

He added, "couldn't you all have downgraded to first class or jet-pooled or something to get here? It would have at least sent a message that you do get it."

The executives -- Alan Mulally of Ford, Robert Nardelli of Chrysler and Richard Wagoner of GM -- were seeking support for a $25 billion loan package. Later Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid reversed plans to hold a test vote on the measure.

This is why I rant  to every American Airlines employee about my baggage fees--their CEO's making a killing and crying poor mouth. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

5. An editorial cartoon would be hilarious
Paulson, Bernake, Goldman Sack's CEO (Lloyd Blankfein), and Bank of America's CEO (Kenneth Lewis) with golf duds and old Cash and Carry (Treasury bag man Kashkari) as a caddy looking at the destitute CEOs of the Big Three and telling them, "This is our money - it has been set aside for the Friends of Paulson - You are not friends of Paulson".

6. Are they willing
to work for government wages? If my tax dollars are paying for the bailout then they should not be earning any more money than anyone else who is working on the taxpayers dime.

They want to whine about the unions. Fuck that. No union member ever made more than a tiny fraction of what these charletans make. I was a union member my entire working career. I got a decent wage, health care and a reasonable retirement. That should be all these guys should get. Not a single one of them should be making more than the President of the United States.

That's about $400,000 a year. Deal with it.
