they had a whole bunch of layoffs after the last race last weekend and teams can't use the tracks to practice anymore in the off season. That's a big deal. And sponsorship is refiguring their commitments.

My interest in NASCAR is waning somewhat as my Hero for the past ten years, Bobby Labonte, is getting long in the tooth and will soon fade from sight. I find myself listening to NPR in the morning but I have enjoyed John Boy and Billy when I've heard them, they beat the hell out of Walton and Johnson in my humble opinion.

7. As a blue collar southerner, it's hard to imagine anybody that actually, you know, *WORKS*

for a living being against the auto bailout. If there are hordes of blue collar workers howling against the bailout, I haven't seen them. In other words, I don't think there is a need to convince your 'redneck' that the bailout is a good idea. More than likely, he or she already supports it.
